One of the our options of learning the beautiful game is the “Learn Golf in a Day” class, which is held by PGA Assistant Professional Oliver Fletcher.
The “Learn Golf in a Day” class is designed to give beginners a comprehensive introduction to the game of golf. The class costs £30, making it an affordable option for anyone interested in trying out the sport. The class runs from 10:00am to 2:00pm on two separate dates, the 12th of May and the 26th of May.
During the class, Oliver Fletcher will cover the fundamentals of golf, including finding your swing on the driving range, short game and putting, and an introduction to the golf course. Oliver is an experienced PGA professional with a wealth of knowledge and experience in teaching beginners how to play golf.
The first part of the class will focus on finding your swing on the driving range. Oliver will teach the correct grip, stance, and posture to ensure that you can hit the ball accurately and consistently. He will also cover the basic mechanics of the golf swing, including the backswing, downswing, and follow-through.
The second part of the class will focus on the short game and putting. Oliver will teach you the correct technique for chipping and pitching, as well as the basics of putting. You will learn how to read the green, judge distance, and control your ball speed.
The final part of the class will be an introduction to the golf course. Oliver will take you out onto the course and show you how to apply the skills you have learned on the driving range and short game areas. You will learn about course etiquette, rules, and strategies for playing different holes on our Melbourn Course.
